ABRT Membership

Membership for the 2010 season has exceeded expectations and in order to keep the team to a manageable size registration has been closed on BikeReg. If you are interested in joining the team please contact the membership director using the "Contacts" section of this website. We will be reviewing each request on an individual basis.

General membership will open again on November 1st, 2010 for the 2011 racing season.

Membership in the Annapolis Bicycle Racing Team is very rewarding. It provides you the opportunity to ride, train and race with other riders who share the same commitment to excel in a local organization and in regional cycling events. In addition to camaraderie of the team atmosphere, membership with the team provides access to a wide variety of sponsor discounts and other benefits.

ABRT is a member run organization and participation in the running of the team is critical to its success. Each member of the Annapolis Bicycle Racing Team is obligated to work two events that we sponsor in order to be a member in good standing and thus able to take advantage of the team benefits. However, there are higher cost memberships available for those who's personal circumstances prevent them being able to dedicate the volunteer time required. As a member, you have your choice of several categories of membership based on your choice of discipline (road, triathlon, cyclocross, non-racing etc). These categories are meant to group like riders based on primary discipline, but do not preclude you from participating in other discipline activities in the team.
