ABRT Juniors: Podium Finish at Wolfpack
ABRT Cycling’s Ryan Collins, 15, won the Junior’s race at the Wolfpack Cycling Classic’s Top of the Hill Road Race Sunday, February 14. ABRT teammate Andrew Schindler, 14, placed third. Collins and Schindler charged up 1500 feet of elevation gain to complete the 21 mile closed loop course in freezing temperatures.
“Although this race was outside of the MABRA conference, it was good experience for these riders,” said Dan Schindler, ABRT's Junior Team captain, who also participated in the Men’s Cat 5 race.
Wagner sets Course Record to win CompuTrainer TT Throwdown
Michael Wagner, a Cat 3 with ABRT, laid down the fastest time at the inaugural GamJams CompuTrainer TT Throwdown p/b Sweat GUTR, winning the Men's B category in 25:38.47 over the 10-mile course. The day's second fastest time - and only other sub-26 - went to NCVC/Spokes etc's Joe Molloy, 9 seconds behind Wagner. Michael Flanagan (Battley Harley-Davidson) won the Men's A with a time of 26:26.79. Course creator Mimi Newcastle used her familiarity with the 10-mile digital road to win the Women's B in 31:18.46.

Grass Roots Education Nepal
The Annapolis Bicycle Racing Team is pleased to announce that it has adopted the “Mikey Medium English School” in Bauniyan, Kailali Nepal for its charitable funding in 2010. The school was founded by an Annapolis cyclist a few years ago and is totally funded by local organizations in the Annapolis area. The team has provided $1,000 to the yearly funding required to keep the school stocked with essential supplies, uniforms and teachers. The school serves as the only educational opportunity for the poor children of this rural Nepal village.
4 ABRT Members Compete for the RAAM With Team 4Mil
Team 4Mil, a team of eight military veterans representing each branch of the US Armed Forces, announced that it has registered to compete in the world’s most respected and longest running annual endurance event in June 2010. Four of the racing team are members of ABRT, Dan S. Schindler, Justin Farrar, Kyle Pitman and Roy Collins.
