An old dog trying to learn a new trick, Ali started riding with the team in late 2006, and racing in 2007. Despite dedicated training with a coach, racing the lightest bikes in MABRA, and careful wheelsucking behind Ace, Doetsch and Jay, he has yet to win a mass start race. But "hope springs eternal", so it could happen.
