Started racing mountain bikes in 1993 while in college. After college I finally decided to pick up a road bike at the recommendation of friends who said it was the fastest way to get faster. Around the same time I also picked up Cyclocross as a third discipline to provide something to do during the winter months. Currently I spend most of my time racing and training on the road but only because the Cyclocross season is so short, if I could I would race 'cross year round. Currently hold a USCF Cat 1 MTB, Cat 2 Cyclocross and Cat 3 road license. For the 2010 road season I look forward to once again being able to race Master's as I turn 35 this year. Focus for the year is less about road and more on preparing for 'cross season. Because of that I will probably do a few less road races and mix in some mountain bike races. I'll also be working with the ABRT Elite team as the Director Sportif throughout the season and looking forward to assisting and maybe sometimes racing with the team. Outside of cycling I work as a Consulting Systems Engineer in the IT field. I'm married to my wife Gina and we have two daughter's, Maddy and Leah and two dogs, Boulder and Riley.
